"We kept getting burned by opaque platforms — accounts frozen, margin confiscated, spreads manipulated. So we decided to build a transparent, self-custodial alternative."
— Kaledora Kiernan-Linn, CEO & Co-founder
Why We Exist
The broker system is broken.
Over 80 million retail traders globally interact with traditional assets through CFD and FX brokers — platforms built on opacity. Funds frozen without cause. Spreads widened in volatility. Accounts closed with no recourse.
The blockchain makes a fundamentally better instrument possible: non-custodial, transparent, and governed by code. Ostium is the infrastructure to make that real — not for crypto insiders, but for any trader who wants access to gold, oil, the S&P 500, or EUR/USD without handing over control of their capital.
Founded in 2022, Ostium launched on Arbitrum with a clear mandate: compete with the Robinhoods, the eToros, the IGs of the world — and beat them on transparency, fairness, and access.
What makes us different
Built for the next generation of traders.
Ostium isn't a crypto DEX that added a few RWA pairs. It's trading infrastructure purpose-built for real-world assets, designed to replace the broken infrastructure of centralized brokers.
01 True self-custody Your funds never leave your wallet. Ostium cannot freeze positions, restrict access, or confiscate margin. 02 Exchange-licensed price data A custom RWA price oracle powered by licensed exchange data feeds — tight spreads, no manipulation. 03 65+ markets in one place Stocks, forex, indices, commodities, and crypto — all under one roof, all settled in USDC on Arbitrum. 04 Up to 200× leverage Industry-leading leverage across asset classes. Dynamic spreads that tighten in calm markets and widen responsibly under volatility.
The Team
Built by obsessives.

Kaledora Kiernan-Linn
Co-founder & CEO
Kaledora danced professionally with the Royal Danish Ballet before finishing her degree at Harvard, where she studied Neuroscience. She spent years running quant research at Bridgewater Associates and consulting at McKinsey, while running arbitrage strategies against CFD brokers on the side — and losing money to their opacity. That experience became Ostium. Named Forbes 30 Under 30 in Finance, 2025.
